About In Honor of Mary Byrne's Retirement

After 9 years of leadership, Indiana Youth Group (IYG) Executive Director Mary Byrne has retired. Byrne was a tireless advocate who was well-known nationally as the leader of IYG.
When Byrne took the helm, the organization was financially struggling and operated from a non-descript building without any signage due to the sensitive nature of IYG’s mission.
Under Byrne’s leadership, IYG is a vibrant and financially stable organization. IYG has secured $1.9 million over the past 7 months toward the purchase and renovation of a highly visible new facility located at 3737 N. Meridian Street Indianapolis, IN. With just $600,000 left to raise to fully fund the project, IYG is accepting gifts in honor of Byrne’s service to the LGBTQ community and will be naming the executive suite in honor of Byrne.
